TIME MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
Time management is a very necessary skill as nowadays technology has reduced the average life of people. Let us discuss the common techniques which will benefit us by saving our precious time and becoming more productive.
- TASK LISTING: First we have to note down all of our tasks in a form of a list so that it becomes easy to consider all tasks from major to minor ones. Think about all the tasks and activities you have to do in your whole day and write down anything which comes to your mind. This is a very crucial step as it is like gathering all raw materials for preparing a dish.
- SCHEDULING: Here we schedule our tasks as compared to the time like what can we do in these 24 hours before going to the bad. We have to use our time efficiently like we will schedule all new important tasks which need more energy and concentration as compared to the other tasks while placing all small and less important tasks for the latter part of the day because they require less energy and concentration.
- GOAL SETTING: It includes planning our routing by keeping our goal in mind. For example, imagine we are in a construction company and our tomorrow’s focus is to register new construction sites. Then for tomorrow we will consider more tasks related to the registration of new sites and decrease our attention towards tasks that are less related to the registration of new sites.
- PRIORITIZE TASKS: In this step, we are going to prioritize our tasks by arranging them in a specific order so that tasks with high priority come first as compared to the tasks with comparatively less priority. For example, as we are in a construction firm and tomorrow we will go for registration of new construction sites then we will prioritize tasks like preparing legal documents as compared to the tasks like buying new sports shoes.
- CONCENTRATION & FOCUS: This is the final step where we concentrate and focus on tasks by optimizing them according to our current circumstances, situations, and work scenarios. For example, as today we are going for registration of new sites, but suddenly we get to know that there is a problem in the agreement so what we are gonna in such situation. To tackle this we will have to introduce some new tasks like meeting a law consultant and then according to their advice we will plan our future tasks.
