CHARACTERISTICS:

  • The output of one phase is the input of another phase in a linear sequential order.
  • We work on one phase at a time.
  • Work fashion is in a linear sequential order.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Cost-effective
  • Less time consuming
  • No pre-knowledge is required
  • Secured mechanism
  • Efficiency

DISADVANTAGES:

  • No working software is produced until late during the life cycle.
  • It is rigid.
  • Lack of intuitiveness.
  • Lack of unification.
  • A risk involving development.
  • No centrality of the client.
