PRESENTATION SKILLS & TECHNIQUES

While any presentation you are required to use certain tips and tricks so that your presentation can influence more and more people. Let us discuss all of them one by one and get more on a successful path.

  1. LIMIT YOUR PRESENTATION TO ONE CORE IDEA: It helps you not get distracted from your path. Sometimes when presenters go with a very wide & different angle presentation the audience can’t understand the complexity starts getting bored and the presenter finds it hard to explain.
  2. REMEMBER THAT THE AUDIENCE IS ON YOUR SIDE: Always get the audience on your side so that feel more connected to you and will easily get influenced by you.
  3. USE LANGUAGE/ ACCENT THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN UNDERSTAND: If your audience belongs to a certain region or area then you can use their native accent otherwise if you have a very dynamic regional and culturally diversified audience as on any platform like Google and YouTube then you should go with a general accent that anyone can understand easily.
  4. SPARK CURIOSITY: In your presentation, you can spark curiosity in your audience by open-ended questions, facts figures, unexpected appearances, etc. So that audience interest will increase in your presentation and you can present yourself more effectively.
  5. PRESENT DATA VISUALLY: As we know a picture can say more than a thousand words and that’s why I think visual data excites the audience to hear what you said with more interest. Visual data also makes it easy to explain difficult topics which have statistical data associated with them.
  6. PRACTICE PRESENTATION OVER & OVER AGAIN: Once again I just want to say that practice makes a person perfect and you should practice your presentation over and over again because it will make you more confident, clear your pronunciation, rectify non-impressive lines, add more impressive lines, improve facial expressions, strategy for overcoming resistance, prevention for uncertain awkward situations, developing thinking from different perspectives and many more different things that anyone can’t explain but you will learn all of them while practicing.
